Department of Philosophy

The Philosophical Anthropology Program is a general program about man that focuses on the different dimensions of a person.

It provides comprehensive answers to questions on human nature and identity.

Among the courses under this program are:

  • Philosophy of the Family (PHL101) introduces the students into a philosophical inquiry on the nature, properties and end of the family. This course attempts to understand the internal dynamism of the family by considering its dimensions as an interpersonal reality and as an institution.
  • Philosophical Anthropology (PHL 102) studies the human person from a philosophical perspective. The course aims to educate a person’s way of looking at the self and others.
  • Ethics (PHL103) studies the nature, principles and end of human action insofar as they pertain to the last end and happiness of the human person.
