UA&P Chorale - Kultura's "Pasko sa Atin" Christmas Choral Festival

Kultura, an arts center based in the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) held the second Christmas Choral Festival “Pasko sa Atin” featuring various choral ensembles.

Christmas carols by the UA&P Chorale, St. Paul College Pasig GS Varsity Choir, Amberjive!, Neo Nocturne and Himig Coro Serafico and other guest performers aimed to uplift the spirit in preparation for the Christmas season.

The event was also a benefit concert for UA&P alumna and San Sebastian College law student, Ms. Raissa Laurel, who lost both her legs from the bombing of the bar exams celebration at the De La Salle University campus late September last year.

Pasko sa Atin brought smiles and cheers to the audience. The songs were gratifying, revealing to all a deeper sense of harmony and making each one feel the essence of Christmas.

Singing groups’ repertoire included Christmas classics such as  “O Magnum Mysterium”, “Seasons of Love”, “Silent Night” and “O Come, O Come Emmanuel.”

From the peaceful and mellow tunes to its rhythmic and upbeat style, audiences listened to a wide variety of songs presented by the talented performers.

It was a night of uplifting, delightful music dedicated to the newborn Savior. The festival not only entertained each one, it also served as a heartfelt experience for the people and most likely for Raissa as well.
