Letter from the Vice President for Administrative Affairs

Dear students, parents, teachers and staff,

It has been a week since our Security Office enforced the Red Alert Status in our campus. We posted notices at our entrance to advise all the members of our community and our visitors about the situation.

The Red Alert Status was decided on because the prevailing security situation after the EDSA bus bombing prompted a more vigilant approach in all installations. This is only a temporary status which will be lifted as soon as we are absolutely certain the threat is gone.

We thank you for giving us your cooperation and for understanding the need for such security warning. We did not receive any report of an unpleasant reaction or untoward incident arising from the stricter entrance procedures.

Just the same, we are sorry for causing you inconvenience or worry because of the heightened security measures on campus. Rest assured that the safety of our entire campus and community is our major concern. We continue to seek your support and appeal for vigilance so that we will always enjoy a secure and serene university.

Thank you.

Very truly yours,

Rolando D. Sison
Vice President for Administrative Affairs
