Catholic speaker Christopher West in UA&P

Described as “one of the most sought-after Catholic speakers today” by Christian Newswire, Christopher West will deliver a talk on Theology of the Body for teens based on his best-selling book of the same title.

The conference on Monday, July 27, at the UA&P Li Seng Giap auditorium becomes even more timely and relevant as the country continues to discuss urgent family issues such responsible parenthood, reproductive health and divorce which Mr. West will address by echoing Blessed John Paul II’s message.

The Theology of the Body is a series of lectures the newly-beatified Pope delivered during the early years of his Papacy (September 1979 – November 1984). This teaching is being hailed as a “new sexual revolution,” because it calls everyone to an authentic understanding and living out of what it means to be created male and female in the image and likeness of God.

Mr. West has been hailed as one of the few speakers with the special charism to translate this specific theology to a language understood by modern audiences.

Tickets can be purchased from the the organizing committee of Catalyst, an student outreach organization, at P200 each for Li Seng Giap seats, and P100 for the two satellite venues. #
