Newly elected officers of the University Student Government (USG) took their oath amid peers and school administrators at the Dizon Auditorium today.

The new representatives will elect a president among themselves who will then appoint an internal vice president, external vice president, secretary, finance officer, student interest group officer (SIGO), and sports and varsities officer (SVO).

On September 17-21, UA&P students cast their votes for their representatives in the USG. They had recently ratified the USG Constitution, which abolished the old student government system of the University.

The newly sworn-in student representatives are the following:

CAS-HUM Representative: Angelica Maria C. Antonio
IPE Representative: Marietta B. Trimpe
SCM Representative: Gilbert Domingo L. Vidanes
SEC Representative: Kenneth Irvin N. Garcia
SED Representative: Eunice T. Contreras
SMN Representative: Arika Mikaela C. Yamahata
SSE Representative: Oliver R. Fortades

UA&P President Jose Maria Mariano attended the oath-taking and congratulated the new officers and the framers of the USG Constitution.

He also invited the students present to be one with the USG officers in contributing to the University’s #5tothe50th campaign, in preparation for the 50th anniversary of the University in 2017.
