Speakers are executives from Petron, Energy Development Corporation, San Roque Power Corporation, TEaM Energy, AES Philippines—companies with wide experience in producing sustainability reports using international standards set by the Amsterdam-based Global Reporting Initiative.

Organized by the UA&P Center for Social Responsibility, the conference will tackle various topics on writing a sustainability report, a tool that gives stakeholders information about a company’s economic, social, environmental, and governance performance.

The first session, “Sustainability Reporting Using the GRI Template,” will focus on understanding GRI’s reporting framework.

“Crafting the Business Case for Sustainability Reporting” aims to equip attendees to help their company executives see the need for and benefits of sustainability reporting.

The last session will focus on best practices in writing sustainability reports.

Since 2007, UA&P has been the only academic institution in the Philippines with an elected position in the Stakeholder Council of the GRI. Its Center for Social Responsibility provides leading companies in the Philippines with sustainability reporting services.

The sponsors of the conference also include Aboitiz, Chamber of Mines of the Philippines, Metrobank Foundation, Sagittarius Mines Inc., LandBank, and Philippine Business for Environment.
