A senior Entrepreneurial Management (EM) student was recently recognized as one of the Ten Outstanding Expat Pinoy Children (TOEPC).

Mark Kevin Nuñez, whose father is a seafarer, received the annual award from the Bank of the Philippine Islands, which honors “children of [OFWs] who have shown exceptional achievements in academics and non-academic fields.”

Nuñez received the distinction “Ibang Klaseng Entrepreneur.”

He set up his own business in 2010, selling rubber bracelets (baller bands) online. With only P6,000 as capital, he soon raked in at least P120,000 more than his target revenue in the first year.

A ‘merit scholar’ of the University, Nuñez started the venture to fulfill part of the EM program’s requirements.
