Entrepreneurial Management (EM) senior JR Inciong was named The Next Big Food Entrepreneur last December 17 for his mobile bar Mocktail Madness.

He received P100,000 for his victory in the student category of the competition organized by Entrepreneur magazine.

According to Inciong, the business started as his New Business Venture (NBV) required in UA&P’s EM program.

“What separates [Mocktail Madness] from other mobile bars is the idea of actually expanding it into a lounge or café in a mall or plaza,” he said.

Inciong rented space at the Midnight Mercato in Taguig City, where word soon spread about his novel business concept and drinks.

An avid beverage enthusiast, Inciong has worked in various bars in Hong Kong, where he gained experience to set his drinks at par with international standards. He uses fresh fruits, juices, sodas, and imported syrups to make his mock cocktails taste “exactly like their alcoholic counterparts.”

Inciong has big dreams for Mocktail Madness. He plans to set up shop in other Metro Manila bazaars within the year and has even expanded the bar to a “party solutions” business, with services such as lights, sounds, food, photobooth, and performers.

Mocktail Madness is open on Fridays and Saturdays 9 pm to 3 am.
