The University of Asia and the Pacific-Institute for Family Development (UA&P-IFD) is inviting everyone to a two and a half-day forum on Character-based Education in Human Sexuality scheduled on November 23-25, 2016, Wednesday to Friday, at the Li Seng Giap Auditorium, University of Asia and Pacific, Ortigas Campus.
Carrying the theme “Teach me How to Understand…How to Love,” the forum seeks to help parents and teachers to:
1. Take stock of the home and cultural factors that are shaping young people’s views and attitudes towards human sexuality.
2. Promote education in human sexuality within the context of character education, which is directed to human flourishing.
3. Develop an appreciation for human sexuality, which in the context of marriage is an expression of authentic human love.
4. Strengthen their expertise in the pedagogy of education in human sexuality, including the importance of the teacher’s example.
The fee for each participant is Php 2,500 for public school teachers, Php 3000 for private school teachers and parents. The fee is inclusive of participation cost, training certificate, training kit, and meals (lunch and snacks) for two and half days.
