Last August 15, the UA&P community came together to celebrate the University’s 50th anniversary. UA&P traces its beginnings to 1967 as the Center for Research and Communication. It was granted university status in 1995 and has since been known as the University of Asia and the Pacific.

With the theme “50 Years of Greatness in the Ordinary,” the celebration provided ample opportunity for the community to commemorate the University’s past while sharing their hopes for the future.

The event spotlighted performances from students and staff, as well as messages from faculty members, alumni, and luminaries such as UA&P President Dr. Winston Conrad Padojinog, and co-founders Dr. Bernardo Villegas and Dr. Jesus Estanislao. It also featured the opening of a photo exhibit highlighting key moments from UA&P’s rich history, as well as a Thanksgiving Mass held at the Sancta Maria Stella Orientis Oratory.
