UA&P students won first place at this year’s J&J E.L.I.T.E. (Excellence through Leadership, Innovation, Teamwork, and Execution), a pioneer business case competition that calls to action the best and brightest individuals to become catalysts for change and social responsibility. The competition challenges teams to come up with innovative HR and finance programs designed to solve a social issue at hand.

The UA&P team was composed of Josef Singson (Master of Science in Management), Gian Bagui and Emerson Borja (Master of Science in Industrial Economics), and Lennon Ramirez and Mikaela Bernardo (Bachelor of Science Major in Human Capital Development). Their winning proposal was directed towards executing a first-aid and disaster management program that aims help single-parent families with the involvement of J&J employees as well as the Philippine Red Cross.

Other schools that participated in the two-day event were MAPUA University, Far Eastern University, University of the East, Pamantasan ng Lunsod ng Maynila, and the Technological Institute of the Philippines. Watch a video of the event below:
