The University of Asia and the Pacific – School of Management is launching the Master in Entrepreneurial Management, major in Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation, with the managers and executive members of the Mindanao Alliance of Self-Help Societies and Southern Philippines Educations Cooperative Center, or MASS-SPECC as its pioneer class starting this April 2018.

The Master in Entrepreneurial Management aims to provide entrepreneurs and professionals greater exposure and specialized skills in the field of entrepreneurship, differentiating itself by having a blended-learning approach, personal & business mentoring, and practical learnings based on research-intensive pedagogy.

Full-time PhD holders from UA&P as well as specialists and practitioners will spearhead the faculty for the Masters in Entrepreneurial Management, together with business coaches who have had at least 15 years of experience.

The course will tackle 39 units under nine modules, three electives, a research-writing course and a final management report spread, as well as an immersion in Southeast Asia via an educational trip to an ASEAN member country.

Classes for MASS-SPEC members will be held in Davao or Cagayan de Oro, with each module spread out from Wednesday to Friday every month, paralleled with a blended-learning approach via electronic platform mentoring and coaching.

The regular classes for the Masters in Entrepreneurial Management will be available in Manila this school year 2018-2019, which will follow the same 15-month schedule. More details to follow.

Qualifications for the 15-month course are as follows:

  • At least three years work experience as a manager/entrepreneur/owner
  • Bachelor’s degree holder
  • Pass the Master in Entrepreneurial Management Admissions Exam and Interview
