In recognition of the importance of interconnectivity and data security, senior decision makers from the Philippine maritime industry gathered in a focus group discussion on “Enhancing Maritime Communities Through Technology Innovations” on January 25 at the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), Pasig City. The discussion was sponsored by the UA&P Professorial Chair on Migration and Overseas Filipino Work in partnership with Navozyme, a Singapore-based company that specializes on maritime technology solutions.

Mr. Anjaney Borwankar, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Navozyme, discussed the “Blockchain Platforms for the Maritime Industry,” while Mr. Alexander Avanth, Chief Digital Officer of the Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) Group, Inc., explained the “Digitization in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).”
