Executive Programs

The Strategic Business Economics Program (SBEP)—UA&P’s flagship program for top executives— celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2024 as the unique executive program that combines the powerful discipline of economics with the best and cutting-edge practices of business. The program aims to equip top-brass corporate executives, high-ranking government officials, and entrepreneurs to craft innovative strategies and robust business models in the new environment.
The SBEP enhances senior executives’ capabilities in coping with the latest global, regional and local economic trends, the inevitable rise of digitalization and AI, the primal importance of leadership and human capital, in the context of rapidly evolving knowledge-based economies. The program accomplishes this by focusing on strategic thinking and governance, the discipline of economics as applied to business, best business practices, personal development, and orientation to the common good.
The SBEP’s experience of running successfully for the past 50 years has involved training more than 1,800 senior executives from 26 countries, and from hundreds of companies, not only top corporations, but also medium-sized, dynamic enterprises, professionals (lawyers, doctors, engineers, CPAs, etc.), and government officials, including the police and military. The diversity and C-suite level of the participants contribute to a truly enriching exchange of theory, experience, wisdom, and networking, all of which the SBEP alumni highly appreciate.
With a hybrid program delivery, convenient class schedule for 11 months, top-class and business-honed professors, and networking opportunities involving key government officials and business leaders, participants return to their organizations re-energized and equipped with strategies and innovative solutions leading it to success in the new global business-economic landscape.
The Strategic Business Economics Program is recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as a full graduate degree program offering a Master in Business Economics (MBE) and a Certificate in Business Economics (CBE).
A 6-month Certificate Program designed to develop the managerial, analytical and strategic thinking skills of executives and managers.
Both content and design are based on a comprehensive needs analysis and innovative design process done in collaboration with agribusiness industry practitioners and experts.
The School of Education and Human Development (SED) aims to be a catalyst to enable educators, parents, and teachers in the Asia-Pacific region to carry out their teaching work with personal and professional excellence anchored on technical competence and human virtues.

The revolution in the availability of data is changing the practice of business and management. Increasingly, organizations are recognizing the role of data in gaining insights and out-thinking competitors. Data-enabled organizations tend to outperform those that are not. A study shows that “the more companies characterized themselves as data-driven, the better they performed on objective measures of financial and operational results.” The financial sector is leading the way. Local banks? have formed their analytics teams, mostly report to top management. This explains the growing demand for talents who have analytical skills and can make or help make informed decisions that can drive organizational success (UA&P, 2018).
The UA&P started to offer the Master In Applied Business Analytics (MABA) program in 2018. Three scenarios that were considered by MABA at the time of its conception – jobs to be transformed by digital technologies, lack of analytics talent, and companies becoming data-driven as articulated above. These scenarios, among others, also present the same opportunity for UA&P School of Management to offer a counterpart non-degree Professional Education in Business Analytics PrEBA)
