BS in Artificial Intelligence

BS in Artificial Intelligence (BSAI) graduates will emerge as skilled AI architects who give importance to the ethical and social consequences of their work. Through close collaboration with industry leaders our graduates will gain the professional integrity and real-world responsiveness needed to navigate and lead through global economic shifts. BSAI graduates will be businessmen who want to build “AI products”. They will end up not just as coders, but as AI Architects capable of deploying resilient systems on local infrastructure or the cloud.

Almost 90% of the BSAI curriculum in the first two years shares existing coursework with Information Technology, Data Science, and other UA&P programs. From the 3rd year onwards, AI experts from the industry will bring real-world "agentic" challenges directly into the classroom. Students will also have access to the Edge computing laboratory that will enable them to focus on hands-on applications of classroom learning.

Graduates of the BSAI program will demonstrate the following competencies, aligned with CHED's graduate outcomes for IT-related programs and international AI standards:

  • Technical Proficiency: Design, implement, and evaluate AI systems using machine learning, neural networks, and data analytics.

  • Problem-Solving: Apply AI algorithms to solve complex problems in diverse domains, such as healthcare diagnostics or agricultural optimization.

  • Ethical and Responsible Practice: Assess AI's societal impacts, ensuring ethical deployment and bias mitigation.

  • Research and Innovation: Conduct AI research, innovate solutions, and adapt to emerging technologies like generative AI.

  • Professional Skills: Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, communicate AI concepts effectively, and engage in lifelong learning.

Graduates of this program will be "Day-1 Ready" for the following roles:

  • Agentic Workflow Engineer: Designing multi-agent "crews" to automate business processes.

  • AI Solutions Architect: Bridging enterprise data with AI models to drive ROI.

  • LLMOps Engineer: Managing the deployment, cost, and safety of AI systems in production.

  • Cognitive Prompt Architect: Engineering high-level reasoning chains and structured output systems.

In the Philippine context, they can fill high-demand roles in GCCs, IT-BPM, local conglomerates or startups.

Curriculum

In this curriculum, the student's journey mirrors the actual industry workflow:

  1. They start with the Data (SQL/Data Engineering).

  2. They learn the "Brain" (ML/NLP/LLM).

  3. They build the "Body" (Agentic Coding/Software Engineering).

  4. They go to Market (LLMOps/Product Management).

This ensures they graduate not just as coders, but as AI Architects capable of deploying resilient systems on local infrastructure or the cloud.

BS in Data Science

The BS in Data Science is a multidisciplinary program that merges mathematics, statistics, and computer science with UA&P’s signature foundation in the liberal arts. It equips students to analyze complex datasets and extract actionable insights, providing the analytical rigor and ethical framework necessary to meet the high demand for data-driven decision-making in modern industries.

Through a curriculum focused on critical thinking, students master mathematical models, programming, and algorithms while navigating the legal and privacy aspects of sensitive data. By engaging in hands-on projects and internships with real-world datasets, graduates are prepared for dynamic careers in finance, healthcare, marketing, and technology, where they can translate raw data into strategic solutions.

BS in Industrial Engineering and Management

The BS in Industrial Engineering and Management is a four-year program designed to produce professionals who can design and implement technology-based solutions for complex economic and industrial problems. Its core strength lies in a scientific approach—utilizing data analytics, modeling, and systems thinking—to address challenges in logistics, supply chain management, and sustainability. Students can choose between the Standard Program, which provides a comprehensive foundation in IE principles, and the Honors Program, which offers advanced specialization in Logistics and Supply Chain, Decision Sciences, or Sustainability Analytics, alongside a dedicated semester of on-the-job training.

Regardless of the chosen stream, graduates are equipped for impactful careers as supply chain optimizers, data modelers, or sustainability strategists. The program’s analytical foundation also opens doors to high-level roles in investment banking, management consulting, and public policy. By blending engineering rigors with management expertise, the curriculum ensures that students are prepared to lead change and optimize systems across diverse industries, from green innovation to global business strategy.

BS in Industrial Engineering (Honors Program) with 3 specializations

  • Logistics and Supply Chain

  • Decision Sciences

  • Sustainability Analytics

Developed through extensive consultations with industry leaders, alumni, and academic experts, the Honors Program directly addresses the growing demand for industrial engineers with advanced skills in critical domains. The program aligns with global trends, addressing critical issues such as supply chain resilience, data-driven decision-making, and sustainable business solutions. As industries evolve, the demand for highly skilled industrial engineers continues to grow, making the BSIE Honors Program a timely and strategic offering.

Graduates of the BSIE Honors Program will have access to a wide range of career opportunities. Those specializing in Logistics and Supply Chain can pursue roles in supply chain optimization, operations management, and strategic procurement. The Decision Sciences track prepares students for careers in data science, operations research, and business intelligence. Meanwhile, the Sustainability Analytics specialization equips graduates to become sustainability consultants, environmental analysts, and leaders in green innovation.

BS in Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering (BSCE) is a transformative program that combines rigorous academic training with a hands-on approach, preparing students for a dynamic field. The program forges strong partnerships with top local construction and engineering firms, ensuring students’ engagement in real-world projects and internships. In addition, opportunities to interact with industry experts are available to enhance the university experience that will help BSCE graduates enter seamlessly into the working world.

UA&P’s commitment to innovation is evident in a curriculum that goes beyond traditional learning, emphasizing a competency-based approach for practical skills needed in the competitive world of engineering. The BSCE program trains graduates to apply knowledge of mathematics, calculus-based physics, chemistry, and other basic sciences to civil engineering areas, with a focus on structural engineering. This is aided with the extensive use of computing resources and know-how to ensure that graduates are up to date.

The future of civil engineers lies in the immense push of the country towards its future development through infrastructure. Graduates will have a career in the booming construction industry as designers and construction management. They may also turn to the business aspects of civil engineering, by taking advantage of the valuable insights in the industry.

BS in Information Technology

The Information Technology Program goes beyond the traditional confines of computer science by exposing students to an environment oriented to both business and technology. Students develop technical expertise, business management and soft skills, as well as moral and ethical grounding that they need to become IT professionals for the Philippines, Asia, and the rest of the world.

Our graduates build careers as systems analysts, software engineers, solutions architects, and project managers. Some become database, systems, and network administrators. For the more business-inclined students, there are careers in technical sales, marketing management, and business development. Majority of our graduates work for companies in the software, business-process outsourcing, manufacturing, and telecommunication industries, while a number of them have set up their own high-technology outfits.
