ASU Thunderbird explores 100 Million Learners partnership with UA&P

Key officials from the Arizona State University (ASU) - Thunderbird School of Global Management visited the University of Asia and the Pacific on May 18  to discuss the possible areas of partnership through the 100 Million Learners (100ML) Global Initiative.


The ASU delegation, headed by Mr. Simon Turner, Global Lead for Partnerships of Thunderbird, met with Dr. Ruel Maningas, Vice Dean of the UA&P School of Management and focal point for SMN’s internationalization program, and other UA&P officials.

 

Mr. Turner, together with Dr. Samantha Alvis, Executive Director of the Najafi 100 Million Learners Global Initiative, presented the 100ML Partnership Framework. They also highlighted several examples of how 100ML has collaborated with universities worldwide, including the Global Entrepreneurship and Business Essentials Bootcamp and courses offered by the Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Foundation.


Other key UA&P officials present during the visit were Dr. Fe Gladys Golo, Vice President for Academic and Faculty Affairs; Ms. Aurea Cruz, Vice President for Finance and Administrative Affairs; Ms. Adoracion Relos, Quality Assurance Office Accreditations and Rankings Head; Ms. Jodie Claire Ngo, BSBA Program Director and SMN Operations Committee Secretary; and Ms. Elsie Laguador, SMN consultant.


The visit was made possible through the support of Ms. Jenny Ho-Vijungco, Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Arizona.
