The University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) formally unveiled a commemorative plaque for the Business Lounge in a ceremony attended by the University's Management Committee, members of the Tan family, and members of the University community on July 7.
Envisioned as a welcoming space for students, faculty, alumni, and guests, the Business Lounge, located on the ground floor of the APEC Communications Building, is designed to foster collaboration, exchange of ideas, and meaningful partnerships while supporting the University's commitment to excellence, innovation, and community building.
The project was made possible through the generosity of UA&P alumnus and Board of Trustees member Mr. Miguel V. Tan and his father, Mr. Antonio Lee Tan Jr. The commemorative plaque honors Mr. Antonio Lee Tan Jr. in recognition of his leadership and hands-on involvement in the renovation and completion of the project.
Rev. Fr. Cayo Estrada, University Chaplain, led the blessing of the Business Lounge, followed by the unveiling of the commemorative plaque by UA&P President Atty. John Philip Yeung; Mr. Miguel V. Tan; Mr. Antonio Lee Tan Jr.; Dr. Gladys Golo, Vice President for Academic and Faculty Affairs; Ms. Aurea Cruz, Vice President for Finance and Administrative Affairs; and Ms. Viory Janeo, University Secretary and Corporate Secretary of the Board.
The Business Lounge will serve as a shared space where present and future generations of the UA&P community can learn, connect, and collaborate.
