Entrepreneurial Management alumnus Brandon Angelo “Gelo” Wong was recently recognized in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Class of 2026, joining a distinguished group of young Filipinos making an impact in their respective fields.

The 23-year-old was recognized for his work as cofounder of BayaniChain Tech, a technology company that develops blockchain systems for governments and companies to improve transparency, secure data, and reduce corruption. Together with cofounders Raphael Sevilla and Paul Soliman, Wong helped pioneer blockchain-based solutions aimed at promoting accountability in both the public and private sectors.

Among BayaniChain Tech’s early initiatives was its collaboration with the Philippines’ Department of Budget and Management, which became the first government agency in the country to use blockchain technology to upload and verify key budget documents. The company has also contributed to efforts supporting legislation that promotes the use of blockchain to safeguard public funds.

Wong joins several Filipinos included in this year’s Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 list, among them tennis star Alex Eala, Amico Innovations cofounder Kharl Christian Yeung, and Fan Connection SEA cofounders Pauline Dizon and Adrian Jumangit.

Now in its 11th edition, the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list recognizes 300 young innovators, entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers across the Asia-Pacific region. The annual list covers 10 categories and highlights individuals who are pushing boundaries in areas such as business, technology, science, social impact, sports, and the arts.

Wong graduated from the University of Asia and the Pacific’s Entrepreneurial Management program in 2024.
